I purchased by windows almost 2 years ago. They have preformed flawlessly. I had several bids from various companies. The prize included removal and disposal of my old windows, installation of the new windows, Ethan wrapped all the exterior trim with metal trim and caulked the new trim. They had to rebuild the frames on most of my window cases. It was all included in the price. After seeing how many days and the material they had to use, I believe the price was more than fair. I highly recommend this brand of windows and Heartland of Nebraska. PS. Two of the windows came by mistake with cross pieces in the panes, which I did not want. Heartland reordered the correct panes and a few weeks later the Heartland Co. showed up and replaced the panes. Also the warranty is transferable if and when you sell your home. Replacement windows are a large investment that I wanted to get done right. I chose Heartland of Nebraska for several reasons. I like that it is a small family run business. Kathy, the Mom, takes care of sales. Ethan, the Son, and close friend Derrick take care of the installation. I am a veteran shop teacher and typically do all house repair myself, but I needed to hire a job this big to someone else, so I was very particular about how I wanted to see things done. I asked Kathy if I could visit with Ethan before I signed any papers, so I could see what kind of install person I would be dealing with. Ethan left the job he was on and was over the next day, which showed me they were prompt and efficient. Ethan was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about construction, and wants the customer to be happy with his and Derrick's work. I knew after that visit I had a contractor that would be easy to work with and take care of things with integrity. After signing the contract, their process for measuring and ordering the proper size window for proper insulation requirements was spot on. I watched the entire installation over the summer and couldn't be more pleased. The efficiency of the windows cutting down the heat that summer was immediate. Now that we've been through the winter with extreme lows, I can confidently says the windows were insulated properly and kept out house much warmer. Having windows installed can be a bit messy, but Ethan and Derrick do their best to keep things clean and tidy every day. They both show attention to detail. I would highly recommend!
