Our professional installers go all the way to the rough opening when installing your new windows. Most companies do put in pocket windows, which means they are putting in a full framed window inside your existing frame. With pocket windows you lose glass space, really can’t check for rotted wood or insulate as well. By going down to the rough opening, you will not lose as much glass space, we can fully check for rotted wood and if any is found, we will replace the wood and thoroughly insulate around the windows so you won’t have to worry about any air coming in around the window.
